Before ANLY, I spent years across working across Europe with the people who run hotels and restaurants — not touring their properties, but working alongside them on the parts a guest never sees.
What that teaches you is not which hotel is best. It is how a place actually runs: who quietly solves the problem before anyone notices it, who is capable of care on a difficult day, and who only manages it on an easy one.
That is what we are listening for when we choose. The hotel. The room. The person. The pace. The introduction worth making, and the one that isn't.
